Video Series & Blog Help Make Positive Community Change
What began as a collection of TV journalists who wanted to provide value by telling community stories evolved into a video series on leadership philosophies and active efforts to make positive changes in the region. And when racial disparities took over the nationwide public consciousness during the pandemic, this group of journalists began a second video series to highlight community actions and inspire and engage business and individual involvement. Looking for a content strategist and writer who would take topics on leadership, diversity and inclusion, and personal development and turn them into blog posts, the media company and I worked on the following blog posts.

A Unique Branding Challenge
An international company in the life sciences industry had undergone three ownership changes in three years with associated brand changes. The challenge was to create a new single brand for two subsidiaries operating as sister companies with similar products. We were looking for a new logo, taking elements from the strongest of the two brands to maintain continuity within the industry and among international distributors. We worked with a creative design agency through several rounds of concepts with no clear winning logo. And the project stalled until I sat down directly with a graphic designer and together we came up with a solution. Leadership agreed. Post script: a year later, the corporate office instituted a new brand on all subsidiaries, and I was selected to work on the brand team.
New Business Ventures

I also assist established businesses and professionals increase their reach using social media and blogs.
Multicultural Marketing Mistake Averted
A national corporation was sending a marketing piece to clients. Clients had given feedback that minorities were underrepresented in materials. In response, the marketing department had taken the care to include a minority in a photo on the piece. However, one of the design elements introduced a potential negative connotation not previously noticed. Bringing the issue to the attention of a peer in marketing, we initiated a change to eliminate the risk. No business can afford to alienate part of its target market. I can help increase your reach to all markets with marketing campaigns that attract the customers you want.
